30 weeks…

wow!! not so long ago i was looking at friends of mine who were 30 weeks along, thinking, “im never going to get there!!”  and BANG!!! here i am at 30 weeks!! i can hardly believe it! in 10 weeks or less, J will be here!! its the most exciting thing!!!

Ok, so we went for a scan today! J is growing like a champ! Much to B’s delight, J’s legs appear to have caught up to the rest of him and it looks like J still has chance of having long legs!! woohoo!! J’s tummy circumference measured at 26 cm! seems that J’s initial growth spurt has calmed down a bit!  J weighed in at 1.7kg which is perfectly, normal and healthy!!

J is lying breech (head on top and bum down) but theres still quite a good chance that J will turn before his due date… otherwise if J doesnt, it will mean that I will have to have a c-section, but time is still on our side! so im praying and hoping for the best!!

I have been having some Braxton Hicks contractions… I didnt even know what they were until a friend told me! i initially thought that J was just shifting, but it turns out that its actually Braxton Hicks! My tummy goes rock hard for a few minutes and then goes back to normal. its not sore or uncomfortable, its just funny!! (or so i think)

J has a pattern, she is very busy for 1 or 2 days, and then absolutely still for 2 or 3 days! which freaks me out, but hey… i know that i can just pop off to the hospital and get J’s heartbeat checked if need be. so far i havent done that yet, but i have been tempted!!

i will post a pic as soon as ive scanned it in! i have been feeling a tad fluish of late, my doc prescribed some medicine for me, which im hoping will do the trick! I hate feeling like im all blocked up with a sore throat! it really irritates me!!! but hopefully, it will be gone soon!

B and I have been married for 18 months!! its amazing! i love him so very very much! everybody keeps telling us that the day J is born will be the best of our lives, but i disagree! The best, most special day for us will always be our wedding day! because without our union, J wouldnt be in the making! we came together as man and wife because we wanted to spend our loves together. children come as a result of that love and commitment to each other. Life is still going to take us on an awesome journey, and im incredibly blessed to be able to share the journey and my life with B!!
