6 months already…

im still trying to figure it out. 6 months have come and gone since Jessie’s arrival into the world. WOW! Jessie is now closer to 1 than she is from birth! i keep thinking, “where did the time go?”. But then if i actually track everyday, i know exactly where its gone.
There have been hours invested in cuddles, singing and playing. Then there’s the hours of breastfeeding, sleeping and reading. Lets not forget shopping, cooking and DVD’s. There have also been many baths, nappy changes and massages. We have been to Moms & Babes classes, as well as our Friday tea. There’s time with family and friends, time at the beach and time with the nippers.
All this has come with many hours of fun and laughter! there have also been a few hours of tears and sadness. there have times of joy and excitement, and also a few moments of angst. there have been hours spent agonizing over my own insecurities (some are silly) and then hours spent recovering.
All in all, life has been very full! Jessie is growing beautifully! many of her 6-12 month clothes will probably not fit in 2-3 months time. She is very tall, and has leveled out weight wise. She is still not on solids as she loves her milk and is not that interested in what we eat. we tried some banana and she threw it all up, so we have decided to wait until she is ready. she is still gaining weight well and is sleeping like an angel.
I have often been asked if i slip her Rescue Remedy, as she is so relaxed. We go out, and she doesnt cry or fuss. she just watches and observes. as long as i am around, she is happy. she now sticks her arms out when she wants to be picked up, or when she is being held by someone else and she wants me, she simply starts leaning/launching in my direction. its too cute! i just love it when she does it. I feel so special!!!
Oh, i almost forgot! Jessie can pull herself up to stand! She’s been doing for about a week now. she absolutely adores holding onto mine or B’s hands, and then pulling up to stand. 
We really must make sure she crawls, but at this rate, it looks like she is going to run first! 
OOOOO… i got a new camera! its a Nikon L15 coolpix. WOW!! if you check out B’s Flickr account, you’ll see heaps of new photo’s all thanks to my new camera! its such a stunning camera. B and I are having heaps of fun with it!
I cant wait to see what 2008 holds!!! hopefully many more blessed times. God blessed in so many times throughout the last year. He has looked after us in many amazing ways, and ways that we never could have dreamed possible. He has been our provider, strength, comfort and so much more. He has given us life abundant and for that I am eternally thankful. He did what many could not. He sent His Son as a sacrifice for us, so that we may live with Him, if we believe that His Son died and rose again to be our Saviour. Jesus will come again to take us home to our Father.
