what a big boy
Description
i took jack for his 6 week check-up on Tuesday(09/12), and let me tell you, even the paediatrician was amazed at the size of my boy. He is now weighing in at 6.54kgs (14.5pounds) and is 60.5cm tall. So far he has gained 2.5kgs since birth, grown 6cm in length and his head circumference has increased by 5cm! he is the size of a 3month old baby!! people often ask me what im feeding him. and when i say he is only 6 weeks old, you should see the stares and astounded looks we get. he has outgrown his 0-3 month stuff and wears 3-6month clothing. its crazy! he is beautiful and a real mommy’s boy.
not in the pansy sense, but just that mom rocks his world!
***update*** at 8 weeks old, jack weighs 7.130kgs (15.72pounds) and is 63cm long!!
jessie has 10 teeth now! and another 2 on the way. she has cut 2 top molars and is cutting the bottom 2. shame, shes been very sore but has handled it very well. she has been slightly clingy andgrumpy, but otherwise is her normal self.
Jessie is picking up words at a rate of knots and im slowly starting to potty train her. she is very interested in the toilet and tries to take her nappy off. so everynight before and after she baths. she sits on the toilet. this morning she actually asked to sot on the toilet. she has yet to do anything in the toilet, but we’ll get there slowly. we’ve been doing it for 2 days now and she looks so chuffed sitting on the loo! too cute!
just for my own memory and to brag here’s a list of her words.
mommy, mama, mom, dada, daddy, baba, gaggy(granny), apple, more, ant, baboon, cottonwool, uhoh, me, ta, dessie(jessie), an(and), no, oof(dog), mmmmmooo(cow), hoo-hoooo(bird), ooaarrr(lion), aaaaaaah(sheep), kitty, kittycat, ball, ma(one), puppy, hi, bye, up, key, door, i-keem (ice cream), peas(please), joosh(juice), no moh (no more)im sure that there are more but i cant think of them now. so mom or bryan if know of any that are missing, let me know! Jessie knows all her body parts and can identify them when asked to. she can walk on tippytoes, walk up and down the stairs on her own, and is just too beautiful for words! she is growing up so fast, somedays i forget that she’s still a baby. well, a young toddler. life is so full of fun with kids around. i just need to relax into it a bit more. i still get stressed and worry about silly things. but hey, ill learn and get there! all in God’s grace
