renovations

Description

sjoe! renovationg is HARD work. and im not even the one doing any of the work. In the last 10 days, the house has been painted inside and out, we have had laminate flooring installed downstairs, installed new lights in the lounge and kitchen, the carpets have been cleaned and we have fixed the geyser and been quoted to fit a new bathroom.

The kids and i have spent quite a lot of time at my mom’s house, running away from the dust, noise and chaos at our house, only to create it all at my mom’s. Luckily for us, Uncle Simon, is on varsity vac so he spent many hours entertaining the kids and me ;-)   it was great to have a place to escape to! we tried to stay at home yesterday while the guys finished the floor, but it proved to be very stressful. so we headed off to my mom’s.

We spent an hour sitting in traffic. yup, you read right, it took us 65 minutes to get to Milnerton from Table View! The Milnerton lagoon had flooded across Otto Du Plessis and was apparenty 300mm deep!

All the renovations are now finished and i think the house is looking great! The changes have made such a big difference to the look and feel of the house. Now all we need is furniture to sit on and a dining room table. :-D

In other news, Jack has cut his top 2 teeth! He now has 4 teeth! other than a slightly niggly night, you wouldnt even know that he is cutting teeth! he is a champion teether! We are very blessed to have such easy teethers!

Jack is also starting to pull himself up to stand a lot. He loves standing and you can see that he thinks he is very clever when he does it. he has travelled a little on the stairs and the couch, i think he is going to be an early walker! and then boy, oh boy am i in trouble. He is a very busy, passionate little boy. I forsee lots of running for me. Its already starting as he can climb the stairs. he keeps me on my toes :-)

Whenever I’m feeling low, God throws something at me which surprizes me and brings me right out of my mood. I am so grateful and awed by His love and blessings in my life!  He truly is our Father who has our best at heart!
