overdue update

guess this will be a double-whammy post day.

as far as jess goes, she is 100% better! she had the Rotavirus. when she was born, the accine was pretty new, and many doctors didnt think much of it. by the time Jack was born, i was told i must do it and now its even on the government list! shame, she was so sick that she was in hospital for 2 nights! 2 VERY long nights for me! i missed her and b so much! am so thrilled that she has bounced back the way she has.

i think that Jack may have caught a very very mild form of it. he puked once, had a temp for 1 night and lots of poo-nappies for a few days, but other than that hes was his normal happy self. he is such a cutie!

Other than that, jesse has bounced right back onto potty training. in fact, for 3 days now, she has hardly worn a nappy, and has had only 1 accident when i was on a long phone call. she is doing so well!

im amazed at jess’s new play abilities, and her language! she nows recognizes when im joking around with her and will play back with me. her imagination is coming along beautifully and she is such a joy to watch! (not always, as sometimes when she imitates me, i catch glimpses im not sure i like)

today i was trying to teach her to pair socks (while trying to keep jack from pulling the washing off the line, pulling the line over, pulling the basket over, climbing the stairs, and feeding him) so once i had paired them and rolled them up, she pulled them apart. I explained to her that they were friends and that they must stay together. She looked over her shoulder at me with indignation and said “they not friends mommy, they socks!” i nearly laughed for ages! in fact, im still giggling!

she has also started pulling “Spiderman” moves. she runs up to the wall and hugs it in a strange fashion and says “look, i spiderman!” shes never ever seen Spiderman so where she gets that from i do not know!?!

where would we be without granny? my mom does so much and helps us heaps! i couldnt imagine doing what we do without her help! training, track, swimming, bootcamp, would all be pretty much out of our combined reach without her help! thanks mom! (dont worry, jack will walk soon, so your back can heal before the next one)
