My baby boy is 1!
Description
*blink* and the first year of Jack’s life is finished. I know its cliched, but it feels as though just the other day i was in labor with him! this time 1 year ago, i had just finished feeding jessie and jack, they were both asleep and i was marvelling at my 2 beautiful children! Fast forward a year, i have just finished feeding Jack, and i am marvelling at my 2 beautiful sleeping children.
Jack my love, you are a very very very busy boy! You are a wonder to behold, and an absolute treasure. In fact, tonight a lady told me that she has never liked boy babies as they arent cute, but after seeing you, she wants a boy just like you becuase you are so beautiful and such a boy!
A boy indeed! Your antics keep us on our toes, we can already see your brain working things out, particularly dangerous things like climbing the kitchen counter, standing on a chair to reach the light switch, throwing yourself down the slide,how to climb things that werent meant to be climbed!
But my love, your zest and love for life is truly a blessing to experience. You help us all to laugh a little more (ok a lot), relax stay active, relive a whole lot of wonderment and innocence with you. Occassionally, i catch myself thinking “if only he were calmer…” but those moments are few and far between. as i catch you doing something amazing, i think “thank-you Lord for my busy, healthy boy!”
At 1 year you:
- are taking steps and starting to walk
- LOVE your blue bike (thanks Ouma)
- are starting to talk and imitate sounds (oof-dog; cockaoooo-rooster; momom-mommy; eehhh-there)
- can point at what you want
- waving and blowing kisses
- 79cm and 11kgs
- still has 8 teeth
- eating almost everything
- LOVE water, no matter the temperature
- love to play with cars and balls
- have a thing for eating crayons
- do not like to lie still to have your bum changed
- are too cute!
