3rd time around

I’ve always wanted to find out on my own, at home that we’re pregnant. With Jessie and Jack, i was told by my doc that i was expecting. So this whole, do-it-on-my-own thing is new for me. And WOW it is quite an experience!
I’ve had 1 period, that was over B’s birthday last month. So after 4 weeks had come and gone and i still hadnt had a period i began to wonder. But i think i ovulated late and that my cycle was out. anyway…
So last week I tried a test and it was negative. I had asked my gynae 2 weeks prior for a prescription for the mini-pill. She told me then and there “if youre asking, its too late” i laughed it off and carried on as normal. She had said that if i still hadnt started by Monday (2 Nov) that i must go for a blood test. I had decided that if i hadnt started by Friday that i would go.
I was pretty antsy and wanted to know. So yesterday morning i did an HPT. At first i didnt think that it had even worked! there was no initial control line, no movement, NOTHING! I moaned to B and had resigned myself to waiting. (or going later to buy a new 1) after about a minute, he said, “just check it”
I did… and finally got to see that 2nd line, in the comfort of my own home! I got to show B the second line. We got to rejoice on our own before anybody else knew! It was amazing!!!
Of course then i had to go for the blood test. It looks very early, round 4-5weeks. So am praying really hard for our baby’s health and an awesome 9 months!!
