There are days that i think our kids are going to grow up thinking that sand in your hair, undies, nappies and ears is just plain normal. They will probably forever remember the smell of suncream, the tase of sand and sea, and the joy of digging holes. But for our kids, it is normal. We are on the beach 3-7times a week. Running in the sand, freezing cold water, digging holes, eating sand, throwing sand… is ALL their normal! Long may it last!
And i must say that they handle the long days on the beach amazingly! I guess have granny and their uncles around helps some, especially when we are competing. But even if its just us or 1 of us and the kids, they have a blast! They absolutely love going to the beach and all that it entails! Im so grateful and feel so blessed that they are so good about their days on the beach.

Summer for us means many long days spent at lifesaving training and competitions. Now that we have started fresh water it adds to the list of events. (right now im feeling a bit guilty that my mom is always looking after them pn the beach. feeling like i neglect them a bit) But seeing them having fun, makes up for it. Hopefully our kids will follow in our love of summer and the beach.
B and i were chatting today about lifesaving ad the beach is part of our daily routine. We were thinking what we would do if we didnt have it…??? scary thought i decided that we probably wouldnt be the people we are today.

Jessie has been out of day nappies for nearly 3 weeks. Her accidents are almost non-existent and even during a long day on the beach, she will tell us that she needs to go to the toilet! Its amazing to watch her grow up! she even puts herself on the toilet these days and wipes if its just a wee, and then comes back to me.

Im thinking i need to review my strategy of “if jack cant do it then jessie shouldnt”. It means that shes missing out on things like match, puzzles, painting, dough etc. I think i just need to be brave with jack and let him climb in? or try and distract him (try stopping a steam train, then youll get some idea of what jack is like!) hmmmm im clearly feeling bad.

3nut seems to be well i hope. im still pretty tired, pretty hungry, but not feeling too nauseous unless i eat something too sweet. Im quite bloated and must do a belly pic! Im so looking forward to feeling 3nut move and watching my belly grow. Its so exciting.
