Tantrums galore
Description
We all have them. At least I’m pretty sure that we all have them. Those day/weeks when the kids seem to gang up against you. When you go from one tantrum to another, and just as one calms down.. the other starts. When it feels as though you just want to bash your head against a wall, hide it in the sand or wear ear-muffs and sing “i can’t hear you, i cant hear you!”
Well, I’ve been having one of those. Its been quite crazy thus far this week, and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. We’ve had some pretty scary tantrums here. The likes of which I’ve never seen from my kids and hope not to experience too often! There have been moments when I stare at them and think “goodness me! what happened?” But we soldier on and know that the season wont last. (although some of these tantrums feel as though they go on for ages!) This too shall pass in the blink of an eye.
I guess b and i have both been pretty busy and distracted of late. B’s work is super busy, trying to organise the move and everything that goes along with it, the emotional rollercoaster of selling our current house… i guess we’ve just not given the kids enough time and energy. Im sure that theyve picked up on our moods and are just venting it all out.
From now, i will try and bring myself back to my normal, crazy self. Hopefully we can restore some lost balance.
