Milestone Week
Ever noticed how all of your kids seem to hit a milestone of sorts, all in the same week? Its almost as though they’re competing to see who can hit a milestone the fastest. We have had one of those weeks.
They’re amazing weeks! The kids develop in leaps and bounds. But they also leave me a bit sad… They’re not babies anymore. (Except my baby!) This week, Jack has started to speak very well and clearly. Kyla has started sitting and pushing up on all fours as if she’s about to crawl on her hands and knees, instead of pulling along with her arms. She is often shooting herself forward as she hasn’t quite got the co-ordination to crawl yet.
And biggest of all… Jessie is swimming on her own! I’m still in a bit of shock with this one
she is gaining confidence in leaps and bounds! Its awesome to watch. This is a child who, until a few weeks ago, wouldn’t put her face in the water. Now she is swimming! We do need to work on her kick as its not propelling her enough. But that will come! The most important thing is that she wants to do it on her own and she is confident enough to.
She is also jumping into the pool now like she’s been doing it for ages.
Week’s like these are incredible! They grow up so quickly. I sometimes ask them to slow down, jessie just looks at me and smiles. They have to grow up. I am so blessed and thrilled to be a part of it!
