Summer has left us. It feels as though we went to sleep one night, and she packed her things and left. The next day when we awoke, she was gone. Her warmth still lingers… But winter’s cold grip is taking hold.

I’m a summer person. I love summer! The long, warm days, the time on the beach, the swimming in our pool… The fun in the sun. I don’t like winter much. Its too much clothing, the cold, the indoors… But we do need the rain and it helps us appreciate summer more. Besides, every day of winter that passes means that summer is 1 day closer!

I will try hard not to wish winter away. I will find new, fun things to do with the sprogs. We will make the most of winter, and praise God for it.

So roll on winter!
